A specially developed orthopaedic chair to provide an anatomically shaped seat and backrest to promote correct sitting. The design of the chair maintains 'S' shape of the spinal column and features a variety of adjustments to suit individual requirements. Neilson is a specially developed Orthopaedic chair incorporating a fully synchronised mechanism with pneumatic adjustability to the lumbar and upper spine and shoulder blades.

The anatomically shaped seat and backrest promotes the correct pelvic position and helps to maintain the natural "S" shape of the spinal column. The seat is also adjustable for depth

Pneumatic lumbar support adjustment increases or decreases support to the lower spine. Separate pneumatic adjustment increases or decreases support to the upper spine between the shoulder blades. Both adjustments are easily effected by squeezing air bags at the bottom of the backrest. An adjustable smooth progressive synchro tilt control provides the correct seat/back relationship for dynamic seating.

The control can be locked in any position for firm support
